I'm Steve Davis Jr. — a cyber risk and governance practitioner, advisor, and builder. More than any title, I'm someone who believes the quality of your thinking determines the quality of your outcomes. In work, in business, and in life.

My background spans 8+ years in IT infrastructure and security operations across enterprise and regulated environments. That foundation shaped how I approach risk: precise, grounded in how systems actually work, and oriented toward what actually matters. Today I channel that into building risk programs, advising organizations through Syl360 Advisory, and writing for the next generation of GRC practitioners through Ciphermind.

I'm an underdog by circumstance and a builder by nature. I don't wait for the right conditions. I create them. Everything I'm doing right now is intentional: earning the credentials, developing the methodology, taking on real engagements, and building the tools that will define how I practice five years from now.

Progress is something you design. I'm continually learning, building, and refining. With purpose, with patience, and without apology.
